I’m so excited about one of our newest features here at Designer Blogs, our FREE BACKGROUNDS! So I thought I’d take advantage of our new bloggy blog and talk about them.
The majority of them were made using designs from Michelle Underwood {love her stuff!} and the rest were made using elements made by us DB girls. We would love to give you a variety of different backgrounds to choose from... shabby chic to contemporary, the scrapbook look and more. But we want your input!
- Which backgrounds are your favorites?
- What types of designs would you like to see more of?
- Would you be interested in free banners and buttons to go with the backgrounds?
And if you have one of our freebies on your blog, leave us a link back to you. If we see you sporting one of our freebies we might give you a little present!!
Oh and be sure to check the freebie page this month, we’ll have some fun Valentine backgrounds available!
P.S. There's still time to enter the giveaway going on below!
Love your backgrounds! I was looking for a pleasant sort of plaid and found the perfect one on your site! Thanks for sharing those with us newbies to blog-world. I posted about it last week and again over the weekend because I realized not only does it enhance my blog, but it also will serve as the basis for the color palette I'll use in updating areas of my home.

Hi Lauren! I personally like the 'green with envy' of which I am using . I also like the cloud one and the sunshine one. I think it's because of the drop shadow in the blog section mostly. I love that look. you know what I mean? Anyway I would be delighted if you had headers for these . thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteI love "Flower Girl" which I am using as my background. Thanks for offering the free backgrounds!

ReplyDeleteI love the new backgrounds but the font comes out too light on my blog when I use them??? Any help or suggestions here?

ReplyDeleteI linked back to your blog and the fonts look great! Can you give me more details about what you think is wrong? I'd be happy to help in anyway I can. :)
The site is pretty easy to navigate. I was looking for the follow button and it blended in with others, not typical follow button thus I overlooked it until finally found it.
ReplyDeleteLOve the free backgrounds! REALLY need/want a blog overhaul!

Not sure how I stumbled upon this blog, but I am sure glad I did! SO much talent here! LOVE the free backgrounds! How sweet of you all!
ReplyDeleteI like the backgrounds that don't lend too much to a theme. I am trying one out! Though, it seems that it makes the main blogging area, and the side column a little more narrower than it previously was...hmm....

@Alicia
ReplyDeleteIf you'd like a wider post area you can try the 3 column templates for your two column blog- the 3 column backgrounds are 1000px wide so they'll give you more post area room! :)
Thank you so much! I found out about you from 'Make it and Love it' and am now using the 'Tiny Treasures' background. I would definitely be interested in free banners and buttons. Thank you once again! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I found out about you from "p.s. i quilt" and I am now using your "art studio" background! Thank you!
